b'Club NewsFranklin County Snow RaidersSo, we are closing out another snowmobile season. It has been a good season for many who were able to hit the trails. The snow in our area was not as deep as it could have been. However, our trails were able to remain solid and fairly flat. We did get some grooming miles in, but it seems time to put the groomer away. The weather has thrown a few curveballs, making our grooming crew deal with icy and flooded sections of trail. All of our trails now have a nice solid base and the riding is great, especially at higher elevations. The club sponsored a Snowmobile Appreciation Day in mid-February that was well attended. Hot dogs and hot drinks were provided to all passing riders, as well as a bonfire and raffle prizes. It was nice to meet snowmobilers from outside the area, as well as some of our VAST officers out for a ride! Many snowmobilers stopped by for a hot drink and some food at the Cold Hollow Bearcats First Annual Snowmobile Appreciation Day.
