b'Grafton Outing ClubRide-InBy Patty CompanikThe Grafton Outing Snowmobile Club held its annual landowner appreciation ride-in on March 10 at 5 p.m. This was the last Saturday before we changed the clocks, so many who attended had the opportunity to enjoy evening riding. If youve never tried riding in the evening, you are missing out on an entirely different riding experience. The ride-in was held at a CCC camp on the Grafton clubs trail system. CCC stands for Civilian Conservation Corps. The CCC was a public work relief program that operated from 1933 to 1942 in the United States. The CCC was designed to provide jobs for young men and to relieve families who had difficulty finding jobs during the Great Depression in the United States.(Patty Companik photos)Vermont Forester Rick White shared, It is my understanding that Civilianloggia (an open-sided extension to acleanup.
