b'Dam Good Time!By Charles RobbinsThe Chittenden Dammers Snowmobile Club First Annual Dam Good Time was a night to remember at the Mountain Top Inn. The event was attended by 140 people who all appeared to immensely enjoy the evening. The event featured a delicious prime rib buffet with entertainment donated by Rick Redington & The Luv with Heather Lynne. There was also a huge silent auction featuring items generously donated by many individuals and local businesses. We thank Dean Southworth for heading up donations. We are especially grateful to Jodi Casey and Amy Carr for masterminding and chairing this event. We thank the talented Christine Mackey for the incredible graphic artwork and tasteful dcor that enhanced the festive atmosphere. The Dam Good Time was a collaboration of club members never before seen in the clubs history. This event is destined to become an annual classic. We thank The Mountain Top Inn for making their world class venue available for this special event. They are a huge supporter of the Chittenden Dammers. In addition to honoring our much-appreciated landowners, the event also served as a groomer fundraiser. With increasing costs and challenging weather, we are finding it necessary to supplement our normal club funding. The Chittenden Dammers work cooperatively with the U.S. Forest Service to maintain snowmobile trails in the Chittenden area. These trails are used by snowmobilers and many other outdoor enthusiasts year around. The Chittenden Dammers is a 100 percent volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of the natural environment in the Chittenden area. The Chittenden Dammers thank all those who attended, and hope youll consider next years event that is already in the works and promises to be bigger and better and most certainty(Beth Godin photos)a Dam Good Time!
