Wishing you all the snow and fun this season! Jillian Hatch, News Correspondent uppervalleysnowpackers.com Like us on Facebook White River Valley Ramblers The White River Valley Ramblers have had a very busy “summer snowmobiling season,” completing a major debrushing of our entire trail system and a reroute of one small section of trail. We have had 12 to 15 very dedicated volunteers who showed up to some, or in most cases, all of our work days. Some have even gone out on their own to do additional work. In addition to the trail work, both Tuckers have been receiving a substantial amount of volunteer and professional attention to get them ready to log some miles this winter. A big thank you to all who contributed to the hundreds of combined man hours in order to get things ready. We have updated many of our intersection signs for this riding season. Some of the signs were ordered last year and more signs were ordered when a generous club member donated additional funds. Things are looking good! Keep your eyes peeled as you ride our trails this winter, as there will occasionally be trail prizes randomly placed along the route. Look for hints on our Facebook page. We hope to have a couple of club rides throughout the winter. In addition to the rides, we will be hosting the 7th Annual Vintage Rendezvous antique and vintage show on March 17 at Suicide 6 ski area in Pomfret. This is a fun event that showcases all types of snow-going vehicles. We have a great group of landowners and volunteers throughout our trail system and club. Please, respect their land, and if you meet any of them, let them know how much they are appreciated. Please like/follow the White River Valley Ramblers Facebook page for information on club events, meetings, raffles, giveaways, trail prizes and up-to-date trail and grooming information. It’s going to be a fun winter in Rambler Country!
