38 | Snowmobile VERMONT Club News ORANGE COUNTY Corinth Sno-Scramblers Greetings from the Corinth Sno- Scramblers! As we look back on the majority of the season, it was certainly a season of highs and lows. At the beginning of this season, the Sno-Scramblers purchased our groomer from an independent contractor who was grooming our trails in the past. We didn’t complete all of the necessary repairs to get the groomer in top shape before the early snow came. So, on a couple separate occasions we had breakdowns while on the trail. Our volunteer groomers, being the troopers that they are, worked in the cold and snow and made repairs necessary to keep on grooming. We apologize that we did miss a couple of grooming passes to keep the trails smooth as glass. But rest assured that we plan to have that remedied for next year. This summer, we plan to have a bee hive of volunteer workers go over the groomer to be sure all is ready for reliable grooming next year. We are also planning some “Summer Exercise Days” so that a lot of our volunteer workers can get some exercise and have fun helping to widen trails, clear brush and replace a bridge. As a follow up to our last article, we were remiss in mentioning all of the people that volunteered their time to get our trails ready for this season. A sincere “thank you” to Bruce Wilder for his work debrushing sections of Corridor 5/25. Once again, we send a heartfelt thanks out to all of our landowners and volunteers. We could not do this without all of you. Enjoy the last few days of this season and we will see you on the trails next winter. Kim Davis, Webmaster snoscramblers.org Like us on Facebook Justin Morrill Drift Skippers As I write this, we are getting a wintery mix. We have lost a lot of snow, but the base is holding up okay. There is snow in the forecast, so cross your fingers and hope that, with any luck, we will be riding into April. The summer trail maintenance is going to be busy yet again. We have several bridge replacement projects as well as rerouting a section on Corridor 132. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for trail work updates. We have just finished our 2nd Annual Spaghetti Ride Or Drive. The turnout was great and we had a pile of silent auction items donated by local businesses. We would like to thank them all for their support. We were lucky enough to still have snow which helped along with some smooth flat trails. Keep up to date on all Justin Morrill Drift Skippers updates on our Facebook page. Mike Mann, President Like us on Facebook Topsham Ridgerunners Greetings from the hills of Topsham! As I write this, it’s 8 p.m. on March 4 and I’m leaning on the deadline for submissions. It’s been warm, gray and wet and we haven’t been able to ride in a couple of weeks. Currently, our trails are closed due to the warm weather and the vanishing snow. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and the VAST trail interactive map for trail updates. Many thanks to everyone who assisted us in selling TMAs this year. Thank you to the Waits River Country Store, East Corinth General Store, Gramp’s Country Store, Bickford’s Sport Center, Souhegan Valley Motorsports, Edna Kerr and Bunnie Caruso for getting all of the TMA packages together and out to vendors, selling TMAs at her house, and dealing with online orders. It’s no small feat selling those things and we appreciate the efforts of each of our vendors. Thanks again! Our next and final meeting for the season will be on Friday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. Check our Facebook page for the location. NOAA has snow in the forecast for later in the week. As soon as Mother Nature gets over her hot flashes and as soon as the bozo that has the moves for the rain dance mixed up with the moves for the snow dance gets it figured out, we’ll be back into some late season riding before you know it! Until next time, think snow. Matthew Powers, President Like us on Facebook Upper Valley Snow Packers It’s been quite a season, hasn’t it? We’ve seen a little bit of everything. Hopefully, you were able to find the time to get out and enjoy all the snow we’ve gotten! Our club was very busy grooming this season and enjoyed every minute of it. It’s been some time since we’ve last had that amount of snow to push around. Our 47th Annual Chicken BBQ this year was outstanding! Erin Drury from Artistree Design was so gracious to donate her talent to design our posters this year. Thank you, Erin! Our volunteers truly are what makes this event so flawless and a success. Thank you for dedicating all your hard work each year. Delicious pies were brought in from local volunteers. They were all yummy, and not one crumb left to share. It was so great to see some of our landowners make it and enjoy a nice warm meal. Whether you rode or drove, we cannot thank you enough for supporting our club. It’s always a joy to see the smiling faces that come from near and far. We’re grateful to be successful with this event each year. Thank you all who contribute! There were a few members that
