ANNUAL RAFFLE By Rebecca Duranleau The Washington Snow Flyers held their annual raffle on Jan. 20 at the Barre Elks Club. $1,796 was raised and $5,200 was given away as prizes. $358 was donated to the food bank and $335 was donated to the American Cancer Society. A choice of roast beef or chicken was served. Over 400 hotdogs and hamburgers were served! Poker Palace owner Bruce Jean, Jeff “Moonshine”Mooney and David Chartrand served up over 12 gallons of chili! Sonia Koehler sells a NEKSB hat to Glenn Hathaway. Kaylen Oviedo plays with Jax, the Poker Palace dog. Kaylen is 9 years old and snowmobiled to the barbecue with her grandfather, Rob Dexter. A huge crowd lines both sides of the trail in front of the Poker Palace. There is plenty of room for overflow parking in the field at EX 282. Hundreds of sleds stopped throughout the day.
