16 | Snowmobile VERMONT By William Thomas Sr. “Could have, should have” is how you look at things sometimes when tough decisions need to be made. For the third year, Mother Nature held back on snow depth in the area at the time of the event. It was not recommended to allow riders to ride in to the event. That did not stop this group of hard-working volunteers from pulling off another great event. Landmark Trust owns the home and property where the event is held each year. The house is trailside, pet and snowmobile friendly and available to rent year-round. Southside Sales provided new Polaris snowmobiles to demo ride for the event and their Team Southside race team also performed on the exhibit track. So many sponsors returned again this year to donate prizes for the raffle. The club has always been able to raise money and also help support a local charity from the proceeds of the raffle and amazing home-cooked food they provide. The E-Z Riders would like to thank all that attended, the landowners for the use of their land and the wonderful sponsors that help make the event possible. SNOWFEST February 3 – Whitingham
