The final improvement involved considerable debrushing along several trails. Many volunteer hours went into these projects, involving 22 volunteers. Some of that same group worked on the 1996 Tucker and the 2002 BR180 groomers as well as the drags to get them ready. Any TMA holder should be able to give a little time to the club they purchased their TMA through. All 22 volunteers are TMA holders who also like to trail ride. Our safety class instructor held a class on Dec. 8 at Lyndon Town School. The Lyndonville House of Pizza provided lunch for the group. Many thanks to them for their support! Our big event for the season is our Annual Poker Run to be held on Feb.9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The awards reception will be at Every Buddy’s Casual Dining. All hands have to be turned in by 5 p.m. Stops on the poker run include Nick’s Gas ‘N Go, Mike’s Gas & Redemption, NEK Country Store, Every Buddy’s, The Gap, Burke Publik House, Parker Pie and East Burke Market. The Wildflower Inn is only for the extra card draw. Cost for game entry is $5 per hand and $2 per extra card. Come and have a good day snowmobiling to help the club. Larry Dwyer, TMA Agent lyndonsnocruisers.com Like us on Facebook Newark EZ Riders Well, lets start off by thanking all the landowners who allow the VAST trail system in Newark and throughout the state to be put on their land. Second, I want to thank our volunteers, who come out and help every year with whatever needs to be done. Without the volunteers and the landowners, there would be no trail system for you to ride and enjoy. Our trail system is going to look a little different this year. In the area around Bald Hill Pond, our trail will be on a plowed road with reduced speeds for safety. Please obey these posted speed limits and stop signs as we are concerned about snowmobiler safety in this area. We have no other trail problems to report, and with a good start to the season, it should be another great year for snowmobiling in Newark. Please ride right and respect other riders on the trail. If you come upon a snowshoer or cross-country skier, please show them the courtesy they deserve as they may just be the landowner whose land you’re riding on. Let’s all have a safe and fun riding season. See you on the trail! Steve Leedy, President newarkezriders.com Like us on Facebook
