Our Annual Special People Ride will be on Feb. 10 from 12–3 p.m. at the McKenna Barn in Woodford. This is one of the SnoBusters’ favorite events, where we treat persons with special needs to a day of snowmobile rides and lunch. This event is open to individuals 6 and older with physical or emotional disabilities. Every year, the participants, along with their families and caregivers, express how much they enjoy this day and look forward to it all year long. I can’t convey how much of a mutually rewarding event this is! We are so grateful for Jeanne and Gene McKenna, the McKenna family and all the volunteers who put so much time and effort into making this a great day that the SnoBusters are proud to host. We are equally grateful to the participants who share their enthusiasm and love of snowmobiling and life with us all! The WSB Annual Charity Hot Dog Roast will be held Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Airport Road parking lot in Somerset. Come warm up by the bonfire, enjoy great food, good times and help support local charities. You can find more information for either of these events at our website, or our Facebook page, Woodford SnoBusters of Vermont. This is a good time enjoyed by snowmobilers from far and wide. Come join us! The Woodford SnoBusters have an exciting benefit raffle this season! For $25 per ticket, you get a chance to win a choice of one of our four grand prizes: a Polaris Rush Pro-S 600 ES, an Arctic Cat ZR6000 129 SnoPro ES, a Polaris Ranger 570 EPS or a $10,000 merchandise package from Cofiell’s Sport & Power Equipment. Only 800 tickets will be sold! Find us at snobusters.org or on Facebook for your chance to win! We still continue to schedule five Vermont snowmobile safety courses each season. Four are held in Woodford and one in Connecticut. We are happy that people choose to take our classes with so many turning to the online course. It is especially nice to see adults who are exempt from the course or parents bringing their kids in to take the class as a family. Our experience is that you just seem to get more from attending a class. It is heartening to see snowmobile enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels wanting to learn and be responsible safe riders! Though we have completed all our courses for this season, check back with us early next fall for our 2018/19 schedule. The SnoBusters look forward to seeing you out on the trails or touching base with us at our events or on Facebook. Cheers to a great season of snowmobiling! Think Snow!
