Paityn’s mom is the club secretary and her father, Tyler Wheatley, is the club president. Wyatt Ward is 5 years old and while visiting Grammy and Papa over the holidays from Claremore, Okla., he enjoyed his first experience in a groomer. He didn’t have much to say, but the smile told the whole story. His Papa is Trailmaster Dennis Bacon of the Connecticut Valley Sno-Riders. “This is my son Ethan. He is my sidekick for trail work in Hinesburg/Huntington. We go out together doing trail signs, trail cleanup, bridge construction, etc. He’s one of the biggest reasons that I’m a VAST club president. I want to share these experiences with him and ensure that when he’s old enough, there are trails for him to ride.” —Erik Engstrom Ethan and Kassie Koehler enjoyed their last ride of the season last year with a stop at the Poker Palace in the Northeast Kingdom. Ethan enjoys volunteering with his father to stake trails.
