Each one of these events went very well and had a nice turnout. Check out the article in this mag to see more info about them. Thank you to all who made these events successful! Did you notice mid-season we started to have two groomers on our trails? BIG THANKS to Paul Haynes for leasing us his personal groomer. That allowed us to groom both sides of our trail system in the same night, dramatically increasing the amount of grooming done. Our bridge sponsorship program took off! We have two more bridge signs ready to go up next season, Bryan Grandieri with Maxum Sprinklers, and Jeff Donovan with a Jeff Mallia Memorial Bridge. Signs were beautifully created once again by Sign Pro. Thank you, Bryan, Jeff, Sign Pro and all the bridge sponsors! Your help goes a long way. The rest of the bridges provided. Who would that be, you ask? It’s the groomers, of course. This year, our small club doubled our stable with 2 Kubotas and 2 drags. It’s not the hardware so much as it is the volunteers who jump in the cab to make the trails happen. We often ran 2 at the same time, with one in the valley and one in the mountains. To make this possible, we thank Sam McMillan, Cyrus Harkins, Mike Coleman and Gavin Harkins. They did an awesome job this season. Many snowmobilers don’t understand that it takes hours to groom just a few miles and much longer if you are winching or having to clear the trails of downed trees as you go. They turn waterbars into smooth white ribbons of trails. This is also a good time to thank all the other club volunteers who make our club work. The Kubotas needed upgrades and servicing, the trails needed lots of clearing and signage, grooming logs had to be submitted, and grant requests had to be written. And these are typically done by a core group of about 8 club members. A special thanks to Carol and Wayne Geise for providing our club’s family meal during all our monthly meetings. Think snow, ride right, thank the landowners and volunteers. Kevin Barnes, Secretary Like us on Facebook are spoken for as well, so keep a lookout on the trails for all wonderful sponsors! Hold the date! June 26 is our popular golf outing. Stay tuned to our website and FB for info as we get closer. It sells out quickly. Sponsoring the tournament is a great way to help as this is one of our biggest fundraisers Reach out if you want to help on trails.
