3RD ANNUAL FIVE STAR SANCTUARY VETERANS’ RIDE 
Each year, Five Star Sanctuary LLC 
organizes a snowmobile ride for 
veterans and their families, offering 
a chance to spend time outdoors 
and enjoy the camaraderie of the 
trail. This year’s event was held 
in February on the trails in Island 
Pond, where riders were treated 
to excellent conditions and a well-
planned day from start to finish.
Participants began the day with 
a hearty breakfast served by the 
American Legion Brighton Post 80 
Auxiliary, providing a warm and 
welcoming start before heading out 
on the trails. Along the route, riders 
were able to take in the scenery 
and enjoy time together, whether 
reconnecting with friends or meeting 
new people.
Midday, the group stopped for lunch 
at Sled Farm 2, where a generous 
meal was provided to refuel riders 
for the rest of the day. The event 
also featured a raffle, supported 
by donations from many local 
businesses, adding an extra level of 
excitement while helping support the 
organization’s mission.
Events like this highlight the ongoing 
effort to give back to veterans and 
create opportunities for families to 
spend meaningful time together. For
