Late Winter 2026 | 25 Club News ORLEANS COUNTY Country Riders Our season started early and may have faded down the stretch, but not before we got in several great club events. January 31st, we had our fourth annual Vintage Sled Gathering and Hot Dog Roast with over fifty vintage sleds on display, some over sixty years old! If you are interested in seeing them for yourself, Mike Lappiere covered the event for his YouTube channel Vintage Snowmobile Lovers. The link dedicated members, be on the lookout for possible raffles or other fundraisers to help offset the cost of repairs this offseason. In addition to the groomer repairs we have a handful of trail improvement projects planned so be sure to check our facebook page for updates. Lastly, we want to give a final thank you to our gracious landowners, dedicated members, and relentlessly hardworking volunteers who make this sport possible. Have a great offseason and we’ll see you all on the trails in the upper valley next year! February was a busy and exciting month for the Snow Flyers. Our annual Dinner Raffle at the Elks Club saw an incredible turnout, with nearly all 250 ticket holders in attendance. It was a great evening filled with good food, laughter, and plenty of community spirit. The following weekend we hosted our annual Old Iron Ride, and it was a cold one! Despite the temperatures, riders came out in droves, with an estimated 250 sleds hitting the trails. As always, the fire was going, warm food was shared, and stories flowed just as freely as the coffee. With great snow still on the ground, we decided to squeeze in one more event before the inevitable “fake spring” tries to take over. On March 8, we hosted Old Iron Ride 2.0, a more relaxed and informal ride. About 90 riders joined us for what turned out to be a perfect day of warm spring riding, with the grill running all day at Jerf’s Shack. We could not be more grateful for our landowners, club officers, and members who work almost all year long to give us a few great months of riding. Thank you to everyone who supports the Snow Flyers with their time, effort, and financial support. None of this would be possible without you. It’s been a tough month for our groomer with multiple break downs. It’s been down for a while, but we thank the surrounding clubs with help grooming. Have a great spring.
