staged traffic control personnel at a
trail crossing. It was an extraordinary
effort and will be talked about for
years to come.
Congratulations to all our fundraising
raffle winners! We appreciate the
support of area businesses that made
it happen. Numerous individuals
donated money to the club which
helped pay for our expenses. Also,
big thanks to the Desjardin family for
hosting our Holiday Party.
We have to take a moment to say
goodbye to Lunenburg Variety on our
Corridor 2A F trail. But new ownership
is already in the works. Next season,
snowmobilers will be making their
way to Lunenburg Station!
Finally, thanks to our landowners that
allow us to use their land.

Northeast Kingdom Snow Blasters
As March arrives in the Northeast
Kingdom, it is time to park the sleds
and cover them for another season.
Looking back, the Northeast Kingdom
Snow Blasters have much to be
grateful for. This winter provided
phenomenal riding conditions and
some of the best trail coverage we have
seen in years.
Our grooming team and PistenBully
logged 696 hours of grooming,
covering 3,659 miles of Snow Blaster
trails throughout the season. Behind
the scenes, our Maintenance Team
contributed 46 hours of work to keep
equipment reliable and ready when the
trails needed attention.
The club also enjoyed another
successful season of events. Highlights
included our Calcutta, Blaster Bash,
and the Snowman Contest, which
brought together members, families,
and the community. Congratulations
to Ryan Seeholzer, who won the 50/50
raffle and generously donated his
winnings back to the club.
The work does not stop when the snow
melts. The Snow Blasters have several
off-season projects planned to continue
improving the trail network. Riders
can also expect enhancements to trail
junctions, with a few surprises planned
for next season.
None of this would be possible without
our volunteers, business sponsors,
groomer operators, club directors,
and especially our landowners, whose
generosity allows the trail system to
exist. Ride right, ride safe, ride sober,
and thank a landowner.

FRANKLIN
COUNTY
Franklin County Snow Raiders
We had a decent riding season in our
area this year. We have many people
that contributed to the great trails
we were able to ride and I want to
end the year with some shout outs.
Firstly I want to thank our great land
owners for allowing us the use of their
properties. Some have been part of
our trails for many years, and we have
new folks that allowed us to cross their
land too. We appreciate you all, and
literally would be nowhere without
your support.
A big cheer for our grooming teams!
This year they had a big job as we
were a few people shorter than usual.
Despite that they did a great job
getting out there, putting in the time,
working through breakdowns, and
getting the trails in riding condition. A
shout out to the Fletcher Rough Riders
for helping us out several times this
year when we needed a hand with
our grooming needs. And lastly, all of
our active club members that spend
numerous hours between attending
meetings, marking trails, getting
landowner permissions, completing
reroutes, and all the other little things
that go into keeping our trail going.
It was a great season, and we already
have ideas and plans and are looking
forward to projects that will provide
a great trail to be enjoyed again next
year.

Cold Hollow Bearcats
The Bearcats finally had the chance
to get out and groom our trails for
all of the loyal VAST riders. Snow
conditions gave us a few weeks of nice
smooth trails and we’d like to thank
our groomer operators for their work.
We had a few bumps in the season,
with one of our grooming machines
having some troubles that took it out
of the fleet for the winter. As always,
we appreciate our landowners and will
be hosting our annual Landowners’
Dinner for all of our generous Bearcats
landowners on May 9th.

It’s early March and trails are enjoying
a good winter season. The groomer
has been busy providing a very nice
riding surface for all to enjoy. With
our southern out and back route, our
31 miles of trails will yield a 40 mile
round trip.
NEKSB groomer John Bialek laid out many
miles of white carpet this season.
