Fall 2018 | 21 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S AWARD OF EXCELLENCE The following five people each represent many years of dedication and volunteer service. They are a small representation of the many folks who care for membership and TMA sales for their perspective clubs year after year. Like many of us, they have volunteered while working full time jobs, running their own business, caring for family members old and young, supporting multiple clubs or holding multiple officer positions. They get it done! The following people each received an Executive Director’s Award of Excellence. Annette Foster volunteered for 25 years with the Coles Pond Sledders Club selling TMAs, memberships, club promotional clothing, raffle tickets and the list goes on and on. Melanie Tucker works a full time job and cares for her mom, but that hasn’t stopped her from volunteering for 35 years with the Washington Snow Flyers Club, managing TMAs and membership. Janet Selby sells TMAs and memberships out of her home for the Brighton Snowmobile Club and at the Brighton Welcome Center. Not only is she involved in the world of snowmobiling, but she also volunteers in her community with fundraising for local charities Edna Keer runs her own business, which can be extremely time consuming. She manages to find time to volunteer Annual Meeting for the Topsham Ridge Runners selling their TMAs and memberships. The rumor is that she has done every role with the club except groom. Barbara Townsend has been selling TMAs and membership for over 40 years for the White River Valley Sno Goers! Now that’s impressive! She has also held the officer position of secretary with the club in the past. Annette, Melanie, Janet, Edan and Barbara, thank you for the many hours of volunteering you have done to help your club and the overall VAST community MAKE-A-WISH SILENT AUCTION The following businesses and individuals donated items to the silent auction held at the 2018 VAST Annual Meeting: Alburg Golf Links, Alburg Sno Springers Club, Bechards Farm Equipment, Bernie’s Restaurant, Buffalo Mountain Power Sports, Frank’s Motorcyle Sales, Gordini USA, Jim Marshia, Roadside Motor Sports, Milton Rental, Mountain Grooming Llc, Orange County Snowmobile Clubs, Prinoth, Kässbohrer All Terrain Vehicles Inc., Sea-Planes ‘R Fun, Sno- Equipment Inc., The Phoenix House, Tim Park, Track Inc. and VAST.
