Our club was founded in 1972 by a group of snowmobiling enthusiasts. What began with homemade drags pulled by snowmobiles to maintain a small network of secondary trails has grown into the care of more than 30 miles of corridor trails.

In December 2021, our club was fortunate to purchase a used 2013 Tucker groomer to maintain our trails. Shortly afterward, we sold our previous groomer to the Heart of Gold Snowmobile Club in Maine.

Our first Golf Tournament Fundraiser was held in September 2019 and was a great success. We now host the Annual Golf Tournament each August at Crown Point Country Club in Springfield, VT.

Our first Calcutta Event Fundraiser was held in February 2024 and was also a great success. We now hold the Annual Calcutta event each February at Crown Point Country Club in Springfield, VT.

Each December, the Windsor County Snowmobile Club hosts its annual Pre-Season Kick-Off Event at the Legion in Chester, VT. Our club has participated in the Table Decorating Contest for a few years, and in December 2025 we finally won, thanks to the talent of our Club Secretary, Francine Farrar.
