VAST 2025 Spring Construction Course

Thank you to the volunteers for your time and dedication to helping make the Vermont trail system a safe and enjoyable place.

To be mindful of volunteers and your time, VAST will continue with an online format for the 2025 Spring Construction Course.

An eNews was sent to all VAST clubs at their registered email addresses on Friday, April 25, introducing the 2025 VAST Spring Construction Course. A follow-up email was sent on Thursday, May 1.

The VAST Spring Construction Course will be available from May 1 to May 31, and it will automatically close at 11:59 PM on May 31. At least one volunteer from your club must complete the VAST Spring Construction Course to be eligible for the FY26 Grant-in-Aid. No exceptions will be made.

The American Outdoor Risk Retention Group (AORRG) is excited to announce that it will once again sponsor the VAST annual Chainsaw Safety and Operation Course. This course will be available online from May 1 to September 1 and will close automatically at 11:59 PM on September 1.

Any member of a VAST club who completes the course will earn an entry into a raffle for their club. Prizes include multiple gift certificates for Champlain Valley Equipment or United Ag & Turf, starting at $250, as well as other valuable chainsaw-related safety equipment. The drawing will take place during the 2025 VAST Annual Meeting on September 6, 2025, in Addison County.

**Please note that there are NO make-up options available. **

If you do not have access to a computer, smartphone, or tablet for the course, you are welcome to call VAST at 802-229-0005 or email trails@vtvast.org to schedule an appointment to complete the course onsite at the VAST office.

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication; we couldn't have the amazing VAST trail system without you!
