Vermont Snowmobile Trails - Explore a VAST Network of Adventure!Welcome to Vermont, a land whose natural beauty is unlike any other. This is the home of exploration and adventure. Adventure that is made possible by those who work and volunteer hard day in and day out. Meet the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers, an organization committed to keeping the sport of snowmobiling alive for all Vermonters and visitors to enjoy. Consisting of 127 clubs statewide and 24,000 members combined, the act of volunteerism is what keeps these trails safe and accessible. Responsible for maintaining over 5,000 miles of terrain, the association and its volunteers work passionately to meet the needs of those who depend on them most. For snowmobilers, winter is a long-awaited season. One that is met with a sense of freedom. Freedom that allows riders to experience beautiful rolling hillside farms, quaint villages and hamlets, and mountain terrain. Each year, over 9000 landowners generously open their land for riders to use. This amounts to 80% of Vermont’s trail system being privately owned. The genuine and sincere trust between riders and landowners has made riding in Vermont a long-standing tradition... One that is sure to last for years and years to come. Mike's Story - Why Snowmobile Safety MattersA Real Story About How Snowmobile Accidents Affect Lives. In loving memory of Michael E. Bagley Jr. “The story is told interview style by the people that witnessed this unfortunate accident. The story unfolds as you would expect, a normal day with outdoor activities, then in an instant everything changed. This story and its underlying message is an important one and really can apply to anything in life. It's not restricted to only snowmobiling. It holds true for driving, riding your motorcycle, flying a plane. Being responsible carries its weight in gold when you have loved ones waiting for you at home.” - Jerry Wood, photographer & filmmaker, www.zacstudios.com www.facebook.com/zenandchaos.
