Vermont Association of Snow Travelers, Inc. 26 VAST Lane, Barre VT 05641 • www.vtvast.org • T 802.229.0005 • F 802.223.4316 6) The budget changes in line item 4 result in an increase of revenue of about $132,000. I decided to first build the budget on the actual TMA sales of last season (as I said in line item 1) and then if an increase is decided, leave the extra revenue as unencumbered to go into areas we may need it for, like trails and emergency funds. 7) We also are going into our second year of our Snowmobile Vermont Travelers Guidebook. This has been a big hit to those that have never ridden in Vermont, or have not for a while. 8) We continue to expand our marketing in and out of Vermont with tradeshows. Last year we added the largest show in the northeast (Syracuse, NY) and it proved successful. We had an increase of TMA sales from NY. New York also requires sled owners to have liability insurance, so it is an easy sell for us. We will continue working on expanding our efforts to grow membership. 9) Online TMA sales worked very well last year. We had many compliments and very little hic-ups. This year we will have the ability to sell Family TMAs online as well; more to come on that. What is also nice about online is most clubs are making more money on the club dues side and the TMAs are all filled out properly, avoiding headaches. I look forward to seeing you at the VAST Annual Meeting. Feel free to reach out to me in advance should you have more questions.
