12 | Snowmobile VERMONT By Alex Riesterer The People’s Choice award winner for this year was Scott Amsden, with this 1972 Ski Doo 340 Olympic. He won a case of two stroke oil and and NAPA gift card to help keep his machines going. The farthest traveled, at 226 miles from Wiscasset, Maine, was Jeff Hunter. He received a gift card to help pay for the fuel on the return trip. He just beat the second farthest traveled, Claude Racine from Montreal, by a few miles. I believe Claude was the overall winner in the vintage oval race, so he didn’t leave empty handed. In addition to the above prizes, a few trail prizes were won by eagle-eyed attendees, who, while out riding the slopes, spotted the hidden prize tickets. We are a show for the riders, and the more you ride the better the chances of winning! Once again, I would like to thank everyone who came to the show. It would be nothing without you. I hope you will attend again next year. VINTAGE RENDEZVOUS - MARCH 17, POMFRET Lynda Mcdermott and her grandson Zephyr take a cruise around the ski lifts at Suicide Six ski resort in Pomfret.
