New listings and updates to existing business information will be made only BENNINGTON COUNTY DIRECTOR  POSITION VAST has an opening on our board of directors. This position covers Bennington county. In order to qualify, candidates must be a member of a Bennington county club, YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A VERMONT RESIDENT. Board meetings are held monthly on the fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the VAST office in Berlin, Vermont. You may request a copy of the bylaws which describes the roles and responsibilities of a VAST director. INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS AT VAST ANNUAL MEETING VAST is sponsoring several informational sessions for members at Annual Meeting on Aug. 20. We hope that attendees will arrive early and join us. They will take place concurrently at 9:30 a.m. in the lower level meeting rooms at the Killington Grand Hotel. • Setting Up and Using the VAST Website For Your Club – Media Manager Beth Godin will walk you through how to log in, add events, photos, contact information, update officers and link to social media. • VAST Trail Policies ~ Question & Answer Session – This will be a group discussion where your previously submitted questions will be answered. Email your questions in advance to Trails Administrator Matt Tetreault to matt@vtvast.org. • Growing Your Club Volunteer Numbers and Engaging Youth – Executive Director Cindy Locke will share ideas and strategies to capture the energy of our most valuable assests: youth and volunteers. once this year in mid-August to our interactive online map and smartphone app. These businesses will also be given a free printed listing in the Travelers’ Guide. Sign-up forms for the free listing and rates for display ads are available to download from our website at www.vtvast.org/ advertising-ts.html. The Snow Travelers’ Guide will include “What do I need to ride in Vermont?” information, safety course information, events, places on the trail to eat, stay, park, gas up, snowmobile rental companies and more.
