Without their support and efforts year in and year out, we would not be able to have the wonderful trail system we have today. We also would like to thank and welcome our new club vice president, Mr. Ray Combs, for his years of service and unlimited ability to always find the time to handle any task that the club needs him to complete. Our club is in good hands with Ray and President Jackie Bemis overseeing things throughout the year along with all our officers and volunteers. Everyone is invited to our next gathering which will take place during the Whitingham Old Home Week. This year’s event will be filled with fun and many things to do for the entire family. The event goes on over a four day period from Aug. 11 through 14. We hope to see you there! Look for our club float in the parade. We have a food cart for you to enjoy some tasty treats during the event. For full details you can check our blog on the club website in mid-July at www.ezriders. org. Come join us for year-round fun and events. We wish all a safe and fun summer and lots of snow this coming winter. An E-Z Rider www.ezriders.org Like us on Facebook Above: This picture was taken April 1 of the only little bit of snow to be found anywhere in Jacksonville. Right: Unexpectedly on April 4, Jacksonville got a big surprise that started the night before and ended the next morning with six inches of fresh snow. The Jacksonville E-Z Riders held their landowner dinner on May 7 at the Jacksonville Municipal Center. Ham, green beans, macaroni and cheese, carrots, dinner rolls, cake, coffee and tea were served. Vernon Trail Breakers Well, last winter is little more than a bad memory for those of us who like winter sports. Being the Vermont, strong-willed folks that we are, we press on keeping up our trails and bridges without skipping a beat. Thanks to our town road crew for their help replacing an undersized culvert down on the River Trail. We anticipate trail brushing and minor repairs when the summer heat subsides. We are very fortunate to have the resources of a local contractor and our town road crew to help keep things together in these lean times. Currently the town is looking at the possibility of multi-use trails in town. With things being as they are, it would be nice to get more good publicity for the trail system we have, and keep our landowners happy and aware of the possibilities that are here for folks to enjoy. So for now, its back to the river and some bass fishing and water skiing! But, as always... think SNOW! Thank you to all who came out for our “Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger!” event on April 23. It was a great success! Thank you to Jared Wilson for coordinating and cooking, Dan Stowell who joined Jared at the grills, and Bob Kirby who served as their set-up man. We also want to thank our friends from the Chester Snowmobile
