One activity was hosted by the Chester Snowmobile Club who prepared and served a BBQ Pigout. Scott Bonneville “Hoogy” took care of the pulled pork in his custom built smoker while club president Stan Choiniere ran the grill. Several neighboring businesses made contributions including pies from Fiona Morton of Sweet Fi’s of Vermont and baked beans from Sheldon Ghetler of the Stone Hearth Inn and Tavern. Robyn Whiting baked corn bread and club secretary Joan Choiniere made coleslaw. I brought maple baked beans and many generous folks donated baked goods. Wayne Wysocki, Frank Companik, Robyn Whiting, Mike Westine and I served food to our guests throughout the day. Caring for the desserts section was Ruthanne Batchelder and Joan Choiniere. An invitation was sent to all landowners to come by for a complementary meal. Children of all ages were able to sit in the Tucker with club trailmaster and county director Dick Jewett. Antique snowmobiles, motorcycles, and chainsaws were on display. Once the sun went down, everyone had the opportunity to enjoy an outstanding fireworks display. Thanks to Lee Whiting for coordinating this event between the town and the Chester Snowmobile Club. CHESTER SNOWMOBILE CLUB BBQ PIG-OUT Scott“Hoogy”Bonneville, Joan Choiniere, Stan Choiniere, Robyn Whiting, Lee Whiting and Frank Companik were just a few of the amazing vounteers that helped make this event a success.
