Winter 2019 | 43 club… because it all matters. Safe riding and enjoy the trails. Pam Butler, Secretary barnardmountainviewers.com Like us on Facebook Club News Cavendish Green Mountain Snow Fleas Congratulations to Sonia Koehler, this year’s winner of our snowmobile raffle. Sonia, her husband, Mike, and their children met Joe at Robbins Powersports in early December to pick up her prize. While Mom may have won the sled, we understand that it will be her children, Ethan and Kassie, who will be riding the sled the most as they continue a family tradition that dates back to their Mom’s grandfather, a founder of the Norton snowmobile club. If her name sounds familiar, it’s because she is the VAST Treasurer. Thank you to the Koehlers for supporting our raffle! Thank you to Butch, Paula and Andrew Robbins for their help with this fundraiser! Corridor 106N and S is closed between WR 68 and S 14. There are signs and maps at both locations and at our Cook Shack. Discussions have begun on a reroute for next season which will reduce the road riding in the Atkinson Road area. Please follow the signs so that these discussions are not jeopardized. There is one change to our trails. Corridor 12 has been moved off Chapman Road. When leaving the Cook Shack at WR 43, Corridor 12N goes right onto Twenty Mile Stream Road, then immediately into the woods on the right side of the road. It then exits the woods, crosses the road through an opening in the stone wall and goes into a field on the left side of the road before continuing north through the woods. Club members have worked with the landowner since last winter to get this portion of the trail off of Chapman Road. Permission has been granted for one year and will only be extended if there are no issues. Joe Marini presents Ethan, Kassie and Sonia Koehler with the keys to their new snowmobile. Please follow the arrows and signs and stay on the groomed trail. Information can be found on our website and Facebook page. Snowmobiling is possible because of the generosity of landowners and volunteers. Please be respectful of both groups. Without them we have no trails. Thank a landowner, thank a groomer! Ride right, ride safe! Karen Marini, Secretary cavendishsnowfleas.com Like us on Facebook
