b'Club Newsimportant and expensive unit.Along with all this, Paul and Gwen are the backbones of our grooming operation completing personally the lions share of this huge task that requires flexibility at the whim of mother nature. We congratulate Gwen and Paul and thank them for all they do for the Chittenden Dammers and the entire snowmobiling community.Keep in touch with the Dammers on our website, Facebook and Instagram. However, due to weather conditions, I usually went alone as it was a spur of the moment thing. I am keeping all interested members in mind for next year. Again,Tweed Valley Travelers Shrewsbury Sno-Birds I want to thank all that helped thisFirst, we are truly saddened by winter to make our trails as good asthe news of the passing of VAST This has been a real roller coasterthey were!president, Tim Mills. Our thoughts season to say the least. You getRoy Arthur, Vice President/Trailmasterare with Tims family and coworkers.super cold weather, then a storm, shrewsburysnobirds.orgThis winter has not been ideal for then it warms up and rains andLike us on Facebookmakes the trails icy over and over. As I am writing this, it is 40 degrees. Tomorrow morning it is supposed to rain in the morning and snow later, with totals around 6 to 12 inches. Then the temps are going to be in the 40s and 50s next week. Mother Nature has not blessed our area this year as we have groomed only four weeks this year. Our average is 11.8. Dont get me wrong. Riders have been out riding the trails several more weeks. We groomed and they all were happy to at least get out and ride. When we did go grooming, the new drag was a big improvement to cut the really hard snow with the sub zero temps. I picked some rocks out of the trail and there are some blue rocks out there now. Our summer trail tread work helped, making it groom up better with less snow and bridging as many water crossings as possible. We are starting on the new sign project. We hope to have new signs and posts all up for the next season. The wood signs have served us well, but the new signs are what we want. Late Winter 2022 | 33'
