You will approach the Bolton Valley area of our trails on Corridor 2 in Richmond. It has some challenging areas both for riding and grooming. As you ride south out of Chittenden county on Corridor 7, you ride through miles of farm fields. All through the county you are treated to rolling hills, farms, and suburban neighborhoods. For the most part, the county offers ideal trail riding for families as there are miles of open fields sprinkled with some twisting wooded sections to add some CHITTENDEN COUNTY County Director Pat Poulin excitement. Several options for fuel, food and other trailside services are available in Essex, Hinesburg, Richmond and Colchester. There are several spectacular views and spots in the county. The top of Mt Philo is a destination for many weekend riders. The views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains are incredible. 5 Tree Hill in Williston has views of the Shelburne Harbor and the hill section of Burlington with UVM and the Hospital complex. Chittenden County was home to several of the original VAST snowmobile clubs. The idea of VAST was born in the kitchen of Bill and CLUBS - CHITTENDEN COUNTY Mitzi Oakes in South Burlington. It has grown and adapted to the statewide organization it is today. The ideas have been adapted by snowmobile organizations around North America.
