We all literally held our breaths as we waded through theHosted Byfirst pandemic of our lifetimes. While most everyone reached theChittenden County Snowmobile Clubs conclusion that masking up was the safest way to protect ourselves andSaturday, September 11, 2021the most vulnerable, sadly we still lost many that we know, love and cherish. It truly was hard to grasp Farrs Field, 1901 Route 2, Waterbury, Vt.that one day was just as normal as could be and then, in the course of a week, the US was shutting downAgendain bits and pieces. Even though much of the pandemicTimeDescriptionis over (we hope), there are still10:00 Registration Beginsmany repercussions from it. There was the costs of materials for11:00 Pre-Meeting & Lunch Beginsone. With manufacturing of goods practically screeching to a haltNoon Registration Endslast year, we now see delays in production and soaring costs of12:30 Annual Meeting Beginswood and steel. My hope is that this will begin to catch up, but it will undoubtedly take at least another year. The great news is that the snow was pretty darn good this past winter. In some areas, it was great. We had riding in regions where there has been little the past few years. We also saw some areas very overrun with machines, and groomers and clubs struggling to keep up with the grooming needs because of the traffic. Our VAST president put together a Resource Committee (working group) a year ago, and they have spent this past year looking at grooming and interviewing clubs and counties. We are all looking forward to their report that should come out later this summer.I hope you are enjoying your summer with family and friends. To our volunteers and landowners: THANK YOU! YOU ARE WHAT MAKES US GREAT! EACH ONE OF YOU MEANS SO MUCH TO US!Happy Trails,'
