When I wrote for the last issue, we had no snow and today, March 14, Chester is predicted to get up to 24 inches of wet heavy snow. It wont last long since the warm temps and bright sun have also arrived. Hopefully, with the season not ending until April 15, we can get some riding in.Many of the events planned as part of Chesters winter carnival were canceled due to low snow conditions, but we were able to hold our annual kids ride. This was a great success with lots of kids coming to enjoy the chance to ride a mini-snowmobile. This free event allowed these kids to take a snowmobile out on a controlled course after getting instructions from VAST ambassadors, Angie Cooley and Stan Choiniere.
