b'Club EventsCOLES POND SLEDDERS ANNUAL SOURDOUGH PANCAKE BRUNCHBy Carolyn GirardinColes Pond Sledders held their annual Sourdough Pancake brunch at the Walden Methodist Church on Feb. 19. Unfortunately, our trail system was closed, but that did not stop the 215 guests in coming by car to enjoy the delicious brunch. Sourdough pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon was served. Over half of our landowners stopped in to enjoy their complimentary brunch. In Walden alone, there are almost ninety landowners who allow the Coles Pond Sledders 52 miles of trails to cross their properties. At the brunch, we held raffles for items donated by Top of the Mountain Vegetable Farm and Bakery, $50 gift certificate won by Doug Casavant, Stihl Package donated by Brian Cavanaugh, won by Ralph Bissell, CPS apparel. Shirts were won by Ray Lamand and Nolan Hudson. A free CPS Brunch ticket for 2023 was won by Tom Kapusta. The 50/50 raffle was won by Dennis Lyons who donated half of the winning pot back to CPS.We would like to thank Shawn and Debbie Messier for donatingThank you also to Perley Greaves, three gallons of maple syrup, CabotCarolyn Greaves, Dan Greaves, Anna Creamery for donating butter andGreaves, Shawn Messier, Debbie Jason Larrabee for beverage cups.
