b'VAST NewsNORTHEAST KINGDOM SNOWBLASTERS LATE WINTER EVENTSBy David Dominico Sr. The NEKSB held its Fourth Annual Calcutta in January at Northlands Time Out Tavern. An impeccable buffet was served to more than 150 ticket holders, who eagerly awaited the evenings big money event.The NEKSB wishes to thank everyone who purchased a ticket to this sold-out event, and we send a special thank you to the local businesses who so graciously donated to the clubs event. We had a wide variety of gift certificates, clothing, maple syrup and home goods donated from our wonderful group of supporters.The final three ticket holders were David Berry, Darryl Johnson, and Jon and Kim Lampert. The final three ticket holders made the decision amongst themselves to split the pot of $3,500.In February, the Blasters held their Blaster Bash at the Boxcar Willie Camp located just off VAST Corridor 114 at EX92.New this year was the Sled Farm gang, with their sausage cart filled full of pulled pork, chili, sausage grinders and the fixings!Chips, pickles and desserts galore filled the bellies of over 250 people who attended.Along with the barbecue, the Blasters raffled off various Yeti products and gift certificates to local restaurants. A 2021 TMA was also raffled off at this event.Our sign board located on VAST Corridor 114 at EX13 has eight slots available. This board was built in 2018 and is nearly full! Businesses all-around New England are proudly displayed on the sign board. Our sign board is placed at a great location for a rest along the way. Signs can be purchased online directly.
