b'VAST NewsBARRE THUNDER CHICKENS HOST FACEBOOK LIVE RAFFLEBy Dave RouleauOn Friday the 13th (Nov. 13), we held our 38th annual snowmobile club raffle, hoping to make a few people feel luckier in these trying times. Although COVID prevented our normal dinner out that so many ticket holders look forward to each year, we were able to accommodate our raffle responsibly, by broadcasting the 100-ball drawing over FB Live. As we transition from summer to winter activities, this evening usually allows people to reconnect with their winter circle of friends and neighbors and gets people excited about the upcoming riding season. Since we werent able to offer the meal, we lowered our ticket price and tweaked our cash payouts to make the two runner ups more lucrative. To be able to facilitate our raffle in a COVID safe way, we took a bunch of precautions, including the creation of a Thunder Tube allowing us to hand off the balls while keeping a safe distance. My wife and I drew and announced the balls as they came out,Winners for the night were as follows.
