b'Club NewsSnowmobiling is a short season and is as fickle as the weather we depend on. If you are reading this and our trails are open, stop, put down this magazine, and get out and ride! We, at this club, and all other clubs across the state, have everything in place for your enjoyment. Now go and enjoy!David Lantry, Club News Correspondent Like us on FacebookORANGECOUNTYCorinth Sno-ScramblersIts been an interesting start to the 2023 riding season. We had some great early snow in December and were able to groom and ride before Christmas. But with the rain that came after that, we found we had a couple of problematic areas, mostly on Corridor 5 just south of our OE 61 intersection. Due to a beaver (or two) creating quite a dam, our trail became submerged with water, making it impassable for the groomer and snowmobiles. Thanks to some very generous landowners and incredibly dedicated volunteers, we were able to complete a temporary detour in no time. We are planning our third Annual Hot Dog Roast for Feb. 25, between OE 60 and OE 58, at the end of Vance Place in Corinth. We will have hot dogs, burgers, chili, and other snacks available for purchase. It will start at 11 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. As our only fundraiser for the year, we hope to see many snowmobilers by sled or car! Hopefully now that we have the variable weather of January out of the way, our winter will continue strong with cold temperatures and consistent snowstorms.
