Our trails will be OPEN for the 2024 season. We have repaired the damage from the July and December storms and will be ready to go when Mother Nature gives us the green light! Check our facebook page and the VAST map for up to date trail information.

The Green Mountain Roamers snowmobile club is based out of Waterbury, Vermont and are stewards of 56 miles of trail with almost everything a rider could ask for!  Much of the trail system lies in the high elevation Little River State Park and Mount Mansfield State Forest. This provides at least limited opportunities for much of the winter season, including for those shakedown runs in December and to get the fuel stabilizer mixed up in late March. When we have good snow coverage and all trails are open, we have access to two restaurants, 24-hour gas, and a ski resort Base Lodge!  Additionally, we have two parking areas, one on Little River Road in Waterbury, and one at the Cottonbrook parking area in Moscow (Stowe). If you are looking for a bit of an odd destination, check out remnants of the states largest landslide from a few years ago! 

We are always trying to improve and expand upon our trails to new destinations and new connections. If you have ideas or a vision for a future trail project please feel free to let us know! See the meetings tab for more information. 

Not only does the club provide activities for snowmobilers in the area but it also services multi-use trails, completes necessary trail construction improvements, provides ongoing grooming and maintenance, supports local safety programs, and puts on an annual Calcutta Dinner fundraiser. 

REMINDER: Snowmobile trails on State land are considered public and open for other non-motorized uses. Snowmobile trails on private land are open to snowmobiles only unless you have landowner permission. Please respect the landowners that graciously open their land to snowmobilers.
