Awesome vistas abound all along Corridor 12 throughout Andover. Cavendish - Plan a destination ride for lunch on the trails. Stop by the Cavendish Cook Shack at the intersection of Route 126 C and Corridor 12 N/S (WR 43). Voted “Home of the Best Cheeseburgers on the trails” by their patrons, the menu includes hot dogs, chips, hot and cold drinks, and homemade specials. There is heated seating and a port-a-potty for your convenience Hartland – If you’re looking for a beautiful 360 degree panoramic view, then be sure to take Trail 54 to the top of Garvin Hill where, on a clear day, you can see for miles, including the White Mountains and Killington! Chester – Need a place to park the trailer and spend the night? Stone Hearth Inn and Motel in the Meadow are great options that offer direct trail access. Convenient daytime parking with trail access can be found in the center of town at the Rec Field. Plymouth - A northerly view of Killington and the Route 100 Valley in Plymouth can be seen on the 4A trail. A similar view of Killington is just miles north at the Twin Chimneys on the 4F trail to Spike’s Place. Baltimore - A view unmatched is offered of the Precision Valley, Hartness Airport and Springfield looking South going up Hawks Mountain on the 106 trail in Baltimore. Weathersfield - A view of Mount Ascutney that is so pronounced there is a picnic table right on the 506 Trail in Weathersfield to sit and enjoy it. Springfield - A scenic ride around the Springfield Dam and Hartness Airport on the 106 and 5 trail brings riders up close to these marvels. Members of the Windsor County pay county dues. These dues help fund the county club grooming equipment and trail projects with interest-free loans which are not covered by VAST. The county dues also pay for Saturday night or third time grooming of the trails. Our weekend riders, which represent the largest volume of riders on the trails at one given time, enjoy the benefits of this extra grooming. Want to experience snowmobiling for your first time?
