Add to this all the Rutland Herald’s “Best Of The Best“ reader’s choice for snowmobile trails, and that leaves us with some real work to do to keep up our reputation. Thank you to all who helped us achieve these awards. Don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed when the snow flies. Let’s not forget our good friends at Central Vermont Motorcycles who received the Dealer of the Year Award. Way to go, guys! You earned it. The Chittenden Dammers meet the first Tuesday of the month, September through May at 7 p.m. in the Mountain Top Inn Tavern. If you are interested in keeping up with work days and other news please check our website and Facebook page for up-to-date information. Charlie Robbins, Treasurer www.chittendendammers.org Like us on Facebook Mount Holly Snow Flyers On Aug. 19, the Mount Holly Snow Flyers hosted a charity golf tournament at Green Mountain National Golf Course. The tournament was a precursor to the 49th VAST Annual Meeting that was held on Aug. 20 at the Killington Grand Hotel. We have to say a “Big Thank You” to the 80 players who participated in the tournament, along with the 70+ sponsors and donors, plus the volunteers who made it all possible. With their support we were able to raise close to $7,500, which was equally split between Make-A- Wish and the Vermont Achievement Center. With the golf tournament behind us – we are now looking forward to cooler weather and all the activities that fall brings. The trail crew has been busy and will continue throughout the fall to prepare the Chittenden Dammers for a great season of “Riding Smooth.” The guys have been spending a significant amount of time getting ready for what promises to be a really good year of riding. The long range forecast is looking good. We shall see. The September season kick-off meeting was well attended with a good turnout of enthusiastic riders looking forward to good things to come. Paul Racine, our groomer and overall great guy, has been named Groomer Of The Year by VAST and received the prestigious award at the recent VAST Annual Meeting at the Killington Grand Hotel. A second award was also bestowed on the Chittenden Dammers: the Best Signed Trails Award. A shout
