A generous donation was given to VAST to see this campaign through of $240,000. Some of those dollars are being used to pay a campaign manager to run the campaign. His name is Don Balcom and he has come to VAST with many years of national fundraising experience. The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is building an even stronger partnership with VAST to help fund the completion of the trail which both VTrans and VAST estimate will cost around twelve million dollars to complete. So far, about 32 miles of the 93-mile trail have been completed. Snowmobilers already use about 60 miles of the trail and it is maintained in the winter by our clubs. When the LVRT is complete it will connect to over 500 miles of VAST trails. HELMET FOUND Edward J . Hebebrand of the Saint Johnsbury Sno-Blazers found the helmet hidden in the last issue. Send your answer to editor@vtvast.org for the opportunity to win a t-shirt, baseball or beanie hat.
